Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar claims his kidnappers named actors Noman Ijaz and Saba Qamar, aiming to confuse him during the ordeal.

Lahore: Writer and playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has claimed that the kidnappers who abducted him mentioned actors Noman Ijaz and Saba Qamar.

In a podcast interview, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar shared details about his abduction, saying, “I initially did not want to file an FIR because the kidnappers named Noman Ijaz and Saba Qamar.” He added, “I dislike Noman Ijaz but acknowledge that he is a very good actor, and despite my differences with Saba Qamar, I admire her acting skills. These are not the kind of people who would be involved in such actions. The kidnappers were trying to confuse and mentally disturb me with such statements.”

Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar also mentioned that he was surprised by the support he received from his millions of Indian fans during the abduction, whereas in Pakistan, he faced sarcasm and hatred. He stated, “I do not know what the kidnappers’ intentions were. I was only worried about my wife and daughters. When the kidnappers tortured me, I told them to kill me if they wanted to.”

He further shared that his wife wants to leave Pakistan after the abduction incident because she is saddened and hurt by what happened to him. However, he declared, “I have a deep love for my homeland and will not leave my country.”
