Reports from a foreign news agency indicate that the Bangladeshi military issued Prime Minister Hasina Wajid a 45-minute ultimatum to step down.

According to the Bangladeshi Army Chief, they are committed to restoring peace in the country. Discussions are ongoing to establish an interim government. The public is urged to trust the military and remain peaceful.

Bangladeshi media reports that protesters have breached the Prime Minister’s official residence. In response to the unrest, authorities have imposed a curfew across the country, suspended rail services, shut down factories, and blocked access to the internet and social media.

Three hundred people were killed in the protests against the quota system in Bangladesh for a month. The students gave a protest call to Dhaka today.

Indian media suggests that Sheikh Hasina Wajid may travel to Finland after her stay in India.
