Heavy Rain Expected in Karachi from Tonight

Heavy rain is expected in various areas, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and different regions of Balochistan from tonight. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz has stated that Karachi will likely experience heavy rain starting tonight, with the rainfall expected to continue for the next 3 to 4 days.

He mentioned that after August 28, the monsoon system is likely to intensify further, and during this period, up to 150 mm of rain is expected. According to Sardar Sarfraz, 42 mm of rain was recorded in Gulshan-e-Hadeed last night, while 26 mm was recorded in Nazimabad.

Additionally, the Chief Meteorologist also informed that heavy rain is expected in Lahore this evening and tomorrow morning, with rain also anticipated in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and various areas of Balochistan.

The Meteorological Department has reported that the highest rainfall in Karachi was recorded in Quaidabad from last night until 8 AM this morning.

According to the Meteorological Department, various areas of Karachi experienced heavy rain with strong winds from last night until this morning. The data provided by the department shows that Quaidabad recorded the highest rainfall of 52 mm, followed by 46 mm in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, 29.8 mm in North Karachi, 26 mm in Nazimabad, 25.4 mm in Surjani Town, 16 mm on Shahrah-e-Faisal, 16 mm in Keamari, 15.6 mm on University Road, 14.6 mm in Korangi, and 13 mm in Saddar.

Additionally, the department reported that 12.6 mm of rain was recorded at Old Airport, 16.4 mm in Gulshan-e-Maymar, 11.2 mm at Jinnah Terminal, 11 mm in Bin Qasim, 11 mm in DHA, 7 mm in Orangi Town, and 4 mm in Mauripur.
