President Zardari Criticizes PML-N Governance, Emphasizes PPP’s Capability to Build and Topple Governments.

Lahore: President Asif Ali Zardari declared that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is struggling to govern effectively, while his party, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), knows how to build and topple governments. He criticized the reliance on IMF loans, which he believes are burdening the public.

During a party leaders’ meeting in Lahore, President Zardari addressed complaints from PPP members about the lack of support from both the Punjab and federal governments. Leaders voiced concerns that their constituencies’ issues are not being addressed, and they are not receiving their rightful support, which impacts their ability to satisfy voters.

Zardari assured the party leaders that he would personally oversee the resolution of their problems, stating, “I am now actively involved. Be it Islamabad or Lahore, I will ensure that our work gets done. No political party can rival the PPP, and I consider criticism of my party as a badge of honor.”

He instructed the PPP leadership in Punjab to collaborate and find solutions, emphasizing that the IMF loans are testing the public, and PML-N‘s governance is ineffective. Zardari asserted that his party knows how to establish and dismantle governments and vowed not to abandon the people.

He urged PPP workers to prepare for extensive efforts ahead and emphasized the importance of bringing young people into the party’s organization. Additionally, Zardari requested a report on the party’s organizational structure and stressed the need to move beyond “drawing-room politics” and actively engage in the field.
